The seven stars cooperative is made up of women from the small rural village of N'zala. Starting in 2014, this group of women has grown and established their own community center where they create handmade products and teach others the craft of embroidery.  Fassi is a style of embroidery that started in Fes and spread to the Zerhoun and Meknes regions of Morocco. Today, women in N’zala use their hands, a needle and thread to apply this style of embroidery to many different products. This age old tradition has been in many families for generations and using the technique, the women create designs on the spot, making each piece unique.
