Batz' Textiles is a small women's cooperative operating in the highlands of Guatemala and headed by Nineth Hernandez. She works with women from surrounding villages to help gain them access to an income. The women are free to work in their homes, so they have the opportunity to both make an income and take care of household duties.

The cooperative uses all natural dyes to create the colors in each handmade thread. Coffee, banana, avocado and other locally sourced elements are used to create a wide variety of hues. Once dyed, the thread is spun, loomed and woven into each design. Typically, the back-strap loom technique is used to create the product.
